Man United star apologises to fans following mid-week bust-up with Ruben Amorim
Man United’s latest blow with a penalty shootout loss to Fulham in the FA Cup has seen a controversial player issue an apology..
Alejandro Garnacho replaced Manuel Ugarte in the 53rd minute, but was unable to show his best against a strong Fulham side on Sunday (2 March).
Garnacho was involved in a bust-up with Ruben Amorim, after being replaced in the first-half of the 3-2 win over Ipswich.
Following a dominant first half, Calvin Bassey opened the scoring for the Whites with a well-placed header on the stroke of half-time.
Andre Onana was at fault for Ipswich’s opener on Wednesday (26 February), but some good saves from the Cameroonian international denied the Cottagers several times in the second half.
United would finally find a leveller in the second half, thanks to captain Bruno Fernandes, as he hit a brilliant first-time shot past Bernd Leno in the 71st minute.
Following a goalless extra-time, the German goalkeeper would heroically save two penalties from Victor Lindelof, and Joshua Zirkzee, as the Whites knocked out the FA Cup holders from last year.

Alejandro Garnacho tells Man United fans ‘sorry’ after loss
Following the penalty shootout loss to Fulham, Garnacho posted an image of himself sat on the pitch, on his Instagram story, captioned: “Sorry United fans”.
However, the winger impressed his manager by paying for dinner for his teammates after the win, and was used against Fulham as United looked for a way back into the game.
Garnacho was linked with a move to Chelsea in January, and the young winger has had a difficult relationship with both his manager, and the club in general this season.

Fulham finally claim win over Man United after losing twice this season
Football Insider Verdict
The win over United felt like it was a long time coming for Fulham and their fans.
Having lost the season-opener to a late Zirkzee debut goal, the Whites were again left disappointed when the Red Devils lost the return fixture at Craven Cottage in January.
In both games, particularly the second meeting, the Cottagers dominated possession, but as has been the story for most of the season, they were punished for lacking a clinical finisher.
Against United in the FA Cup, it was the same script, with Fulham have the lions share of possession, but failing to make it count when it mattered most.
However, Leno’s heroics, combined with some sumptuous penalties from Antonee Robinson and Sander Berge, gave Fulham the win they had craved against their storied opponents.
The Whites will now face a Crystal Palace side who comfortably won 2-0 in their last meeting, and will have to be more clinical against the Eagles than they were against the Red Devils.
