Injury expert: This is real reason for Pogba's trip to Dubai as Man United staff vexed
Paul Pogba has travelled to Dubai to improve his mental wellbeing as he steps up his recovery for Man United.
So says injury expert Ben Dinnery, who runs the Premier Injuries site and has a background in medicine and data analysis.
Pogba sustained a thigh injury while away on international duty with France earlier in November and is facing several months on the sidelines.
United revealed on 17 November that the midfielder has travelled to Dubai to continue his rehab in warm-weather conditions.
The 28-year-old is still in the Middle East, as per his daily Instagram bulletins.
Dinnery claims that the United medical department may be “frustrated” that they are forced to monitor him from afar.

“Physiologically, the body is what it is,” he told Football Insider correspondent Adam Williams.
“Regardless of advances in technology, the body will take as long as it takes. There is nothing special going on in Dubai or anywhere else.
“He will argue that a change of scenery can improve wellbeing. The surroundings are going to be salubrious and a lot warmer than Manchester.
“Psychologically, that can have a positive impact on your recovery.
“But sometimes when players request to go elsewhere for their rehab, it can be frustrating because it’s more difficult to monitor.
“The onus is on the player themself. I’m not sure whether United will send representatives across with Paul Pogba.
“They obviously trust him enough that he will get the job done.”
Pogba, who is out of contract at the end of the season, has notched up seven assists in 13 appearances this season.
The superstar midfielder will return to a new manager at Old Trafford following Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s dismissal last week.
