Man United star urged to leave Old Trafford, ‘it was the wrong decision’ to join

One Man United player is being urged to leave the club following a difficult start to the season for the star.

Man United’s 2-2 draw at Nottingham Forest stretched their unbeaten run to four matches, with the Red Devils in eighth position but just two points behind second placed Man City.

The pressure has been relieved on manager Ruben Amorim amid his sides upturn in form, with the club now looking to qualify for Europe amid their absence in UEFA competition this season.

Amorim though is still looking to rebuild the Man United squad in future transfer windows, which could mean the departure of one player.

Joshua Zirkzee told to leave Man United

As per the Metro, [5 November], former Chelsea player and manager Ruud Gullit believes Joshua Zirkzee made the “wrong decision” joining Man United and should leave the club.

I think from my point of view that he should have stayed in Italy, because he was really striving,” Gullit said.

He was really doing well at Bologna, and I was hoping that he would go to Milan. I think that as soon as he went to Manchester United, it was the wrong decision.

I mean, for a lot of players, moving to Manchester United has been the wrong decision. And whoever leaves them, plays well everywhere around Europe. I just hope that there’s a solution for him.

Go back to Italy on loan if you can. Just play football. He’s a good player. But at the moment, it’s difficult at Manchester United.

They found a little form in the past couple of weeks, and I hope for Manchester United that they continue that. Because a good Manchester United is good for the Premier League as well.”

During the African Cup of Nations [AFCON], Zirkzee could have a key role at Man United with players set to depart to represent their countries at the tournament.

Zirkzee move could be blocked

Football Insider has been exclusively told that Amorim could block Zirkzee’s Man United exit in January.

Amorim wants Zirkzee to remain for the season in case of injuries, and due to AFCON, meaning the 24-year-old could be handed opportunities.

The Dutch international has not started a match for the club this season, with only sporadic minutes from the bench.
