Man United star ‘will never trust Ruben Amorim again’ – BBC reveals ‘disaster’

Man United fans believe that Ruben Amorim’s time in charge of the club has been a “disaster” so far in the wake of Joshua Zirkzee’s treatment.

The 23-year-old was brought off in the first half against Newcastle on Monday (30 December) in a decision that proved to be controversial.

The situation was made worse by the brutal reception that the Old Trafford faithful gave the striker, which even left Gary Neville shocked.

Speaking on BBC 5 Live Sport Nigel Reo-Coker said, “He [Zirkzee] will look at Ruben Amorim, and he will never trust him again.

“He’ll be able to look at him and say, ‘Good morning manager,’ but he will not have no respect for him deep down because it’s an admission that Amorim got the starting lineup incorrect.”

United will be back in action on Sunday (4 January) in a huge derby game against Liverpool in the Premier League, and it remains to be seen whether Zirkzee will feature.

Man United fans are not impressed by Ruben Amorim

Amorim has made several big calls since taking charge of the club, most notably opting to drop Marcus Rashford out of the team.

However, the former Sporting CP manager has yet to provide the necessary turnaround in results that he was brought in to deliver.

The 20-time champions are on a four-match losing streak currently and have only won four out of 11 games in all competitions since Amorim joined the club.

United currently sit 14th in the Premier League table just seven points above the relegation zone which has led to fans questioning Amorim.
