Man United stars react to Alejandro Garnacho’s message after Chelsea deal agreed

Alejandro Garnacho has shared a message on social media after officially completing his move to Chelsea.

The Argentine has faced an uncertain summer after Garnacho was banished from Man United’s squad during pre-season in an attempt to force an exit.

Reports claimed Garnacho clashed with Amorim towards the end of last season the United boss is even alleged to have told him: “You better pray that you can find a club to sign you.”

Chelsea’s interest had been growing throughout the season, but Football Insider revealed Chelsea were waiting for Man United to lower Garnacho’s £50m asking price before making a formal approach

Last week, a deal had finally been agreed for the Argentine worth £40m, and he has now released his first message after the completion of his transfer.

Bruno Fernandes among Man United stars to react to Alejandro Garnacho’s exit message

Garnacho shared a post on Instagram after completing his transfer to Chelsea, featuring multiple pictures from the day and a one-word caption that read: “Chelsea” with a blue heart emoji. He also reposted the pictures on his Instagram story with the message: “I pray to you, God.”

His post saw plenty of reaction from his former teammates with Bruno Fernandes, Joshua Zirkzee and Kobbie Mainoo all liking the post.

Man United had hoped to bring in £50million from Garnacho’s sale this summer, but the waiting game has paid off for the Blues, securing a deal for £10m less.

A move to Stamford Bridge had always been his preferred choice as Football Insider revealed Garnacho was determined to remain in the Premier League amid interest from Napoli.

The 21-year-old endured a frustrating campaign last season after going through a 24-game goal drought, but still managed 21 goals and assists and now brings his talents to West London.

Meanwhile, another winger that had been on the exit list was Antony, who has been in talks with Real Betis for a number of weeks.

Now, a exit looks all but complete as The Athletic have revealed a £21.6million deal has been agreed between the two clubs for Antony to make his return to Real Betis on a permanent deal following his loan last term.

Man United were attempting to sell Antony throughout this summer and had instructed his agent to find a permanent move. Now, the Brazilian is on the verge of a return to Spain.
