Man United tipped to beat Newcastle to Christian Eriksen signing after journalist’s update – pundit
Paul Robinson has suggested Christian Eriksen will favour a move to Man United over Brentford or Newcastle this summer.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Spurs and England number one believes European football will be an opportunity too good to turn down for the 30-year-old.
Eriksen is a free agent upon the expiration of his short-term contract at Brentford last month.

As revealed by Football Insider (24 June), Spurs have pulled the plug on their pursuit of their former player.
According to The Times‘ Jonathan Northcroft (26 June), the Denmark international has offers from Man United, Brentford, Newcastle, Everton and Leicester City.
When asked by Football Insider for his assessment of the latest, Robinson said: “It’s disappointing to hear Spurs are out of the race.
“Romantically, with everything that has gone on it would have been fantastic to have him back as part of the squad.
“He could have had an impact. He is a world-class player. We know that he is. The health issues are behind him which is great news for everybody.
“If it is Man United or Newcastle, they will be getting a world-class player. Christian Eriksen is the master of his own destiny.
“He needs to make the right decision for himself and his family.

“Brentford did a great thing for him. I’m sure there will be a little bit of loyalty there.
“He has an opportunity to play European football again and to compete at the top of the Premier League. Why would he not take that opportunity.”
In other news, Man United have been tipped to sign a holding midfielder after an update on Frenkie de Jong talks.
