Man United tipped to seal 'incredible' Pogba upgrade amid 'huge' claim - pundit
Jude Bellingham could be the “perfect fit” at Man United when contract rebel Paul Pogba moves on, according to Noel Whelan.
The former Leeds striker, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, insisted the Red Devils would need to be playing in the Champions League in order to attract the 18-year-old.
According to ESPN (10 December), new Man United boss Ralf Rangnick has added Borussia Dortmund star Bellingham to his list of transfer targets ahead of the summer window next year.
The midfielder already has 10 caps for England despite only turning 18 in June 2021.
Bellingham has netted three goals and registered nine assists across 23 games for Dortmund this term.
Whelan insisted the “incredible talent” will be chased by every club in England’s “top four” next summer.

“When you look at Pogba’s situation, he could be that perfect fit when he moves on,” he told Football Insider‘s Ewan Kingsbury.
“He’s got aggression, attacking presence, skill, youth on his side – I think he’d offer a lot more than Pogba has.
“I certainly don’t think Man United are going to be the only team in the hunt for Bellingham – the whole top four will be chasing him come the end of the season.
“You don’t look any further than Bellingham when you’re talking about incredible international talents, do you? He’s an even better prospect than Jadon Sancho, for me.
“It really depends where Man United finish, it’s huge. He will want to play in the Champions League, and if they can’t give that to him – they will have less pulling power.”
Man United sit fifth in the Premier League after 16 games.
The Red Devils are just one point adrift of fourth-place West Ham.
