Man United to accept Mason Greenwood offer – sources
Mason Greenwood has no future at Man United and will be sold later in the summer window.
That’s the view of senior correspondent Pete O’Rourke, who was speaking on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track Podcast.
The Englishman spent last season on loan at La Liga side Getafe and impressed with his performances, catching the eye of several top European clubs.
Sources say Greenwood has earned interest from Lazio, Juventus, and Marseille, all of whom are considering signing him this summer.
The 22-year-old hasn’t played for United since the 2021-22 campaign due to the controversies surrounding him in his personal life.
Man United aren’t banking on Mason Greenwood’s goals
Man United were the joint-lowest scoring team in the top half of the Premier League last season, with goals being an issue for Erik ten Hag’s team.
However, the club is still willing to allow Greenwood to leave even though he showcased his goalscoring abilities last season.
Greenwood scored 10 goals in 36 games for Getafe while also creating six assists.
He has always been a goal threat throughout his time at Man United, scoring 35 in 129 appearances while playing in various positions across the frontline.
With his contract expiring next summer, this window will be seen as United’s last chance to cash in on him.

Greenwood isn’t the only young Englishman that the club are looking to offload, as Jadon Sancho is also expected to leave Old Trafford.
In other news, Man United plan to accept offers for three first-XI starters.
