‘Man United to agree Jadon Sancho swap deal’ – fans wowed by update
Man United fans are calling for the club to accept a swap deal involving Jadon Sancho after the latest update on his future.
Sancho spent last season on loan at Chelsea but is now set to return to Old Trafford after the Blues opted against making the move permanent.
Chelsea paid United £5million to terminate Sancho’s loan early, removing the obligation to buy that had been included in the original deal.
Sancho joined United from Borussia Dortmund for £73million, has struggled to live up to expectations in Manchester, and his time at Chelsea did little to turn his fortunes around.
Mick Brown, former United chief scout, told Football Insider that Juventus are now the latest club to express an interest in signing Sancho, though his wage demands may prove to be a stumbling block.
However, new developments in talks between the clubs have sparked fresh excitement among United supporters, who are urging the club to push through a swap deal.
Juventus to offer Douglas Luiz in swap deal for Jadon Sancho
According to Corriere dello Sport on 4 July, Juventus have proposed a swap deal to United which would see Sancho move to Turin and former Aston Villa midfielder Douglas Luiz head to Old Trafford.
The report adds that Sancho has set his sights on a move to Juventus and is “willing to take a pay cut” to ensure the deal goes through.
Sancho’s wage demands have been a major stumbling block for potential suitors, with Chelsea recently pulling out of a permanent move for the winger. However, it now appears the 25-year-old may be ready to lower his demands to secure a fresh start in Serie A.
The England international made 42 appearances for Chelsea last season, scoring five goals and providing 10 assists in just over 2,400 minutes of football across all competitions.
Former Manchester City financial advisor Stefan Borson told Football Insider that Sancho is one of five players Man United are keen to sell this summer, and this latest proposal could suit all parties involved.

However, Football Insider revealed that Leeds United have also shown interest in Luiz, should he become available for transfer.
Despite potential competition, many United fans are urging the club to accept the Juventus proposal, seeing Luiz as the ideal addition to strengthen the squad.
