‘Man United to fine Sancho over Rashford’ – Fans rage at Chelsea loan update
Man United fans have called for Jadon Sancho to be fined by the club after an update on his salary details emerged in the wake of his latest controversial comment.
Sancho left Man United last summer to join Chelsea on loan, but new details have emerged about the financial agreement behind the move.
Chris Wheeler of the Daily Mail revealed that United are still covering £50,000 of Sancho’s £250,000 weekly wage while he is on loan at Stamford Bridge.
Sancho posted a controversial message to ex-Man United teammate Marcus Rashford, as he commented on his former teammate’s post that said “Freedom” which caused an uproar online.
Man United fans were surprised by Sancho’s comment, but after learning about the club’s continued financial commitment to him, many believe United should fine the player.
Jadon Sancho set to stay at Chelsea permanently
When Sancho signed for Enzo Maresca’s side, his loan deal included an obligation to buy if Chelsea finished higher than 14th in the league. With that almost certain to happen, he looks set to remain in London.
His recent comments have caused controversy, but Man United fans have praised Rashford’s response despite the two being former teammates.

Maresca has regularly relied on Sancho, even with the club’s significant attacking depth.
The winger has made 22 appearances for the club, including 13 Premier League starts. However, his goal output has been disappointing, with just two goals to his name. On the other hand, he has provided six assists, showing his creative influence.
Fans have embraced the winger, with some Chelsea supporters calling Sancho the “king of assists” following what they see as a successful season so far.
Man United fans call for Jadon Sancho to be punished for his comment
Sancho appears keen to cut all ties with Man United following his controversial remark.
United are under pressure to sell players due to Profit and Sustainability Rules, so if Chelsea pay a £20 million fee for him, it would provide a financial boost to their transfer plans.
Sancho struggled to make an impact during his time at United, scoring just 12 goals and providing six assists in 83 appearances.
There is little goodwill left between the player and the fans, with many demanding the club fine him after his comment and following revelations that United are still covering part of his wages.
One fan insisted the club should “stop paying it” due to “unprofessional conduct” while another echoed the sentiment, calling for him to be fined.
