Man United to make Erik ten Hag sack decision after latest twist – sources
Man United chiefs are set to make a decision on Erik ten Hag’s future at the club before the end of the 2023-24 campaign, sources have told Football Insider.
Sir Jim Ratcliffe and his INEOS outfit are considering the Dutchman’s future after a disappointing season which sees the club sitting sixth in the Premier League.
United also bowed out of the Champions League at the group stage after defeats against Galatasaray and Copenhagen.
Ratcliffe is already changing the footballing structure at Old Trafford after confirming his investment earlier this year.
Man United to make Ten Hag decision before end of 2023-24 campaign
Football director John Murtough has stepped down with Newcastle transfer guru Dan Ashworth and Southampton chief Jason Wilcox set to step into the void.
But Football Insider revealed on Monday (8 April) that Man United’s new part-owners are wary about replacing Ten Hag this summer as multiple elite clubs search for new bosses.
Juventus have now joined fellow top clubs Liverpool, Barcelona, Bayern Munich and Napoli in searching for a new boss to take over for the 2024-25 campaign.
The Red Devils may therefore choose to stick with Ten Hag until the end of his contract in June 2025.

United sit sixth in the table with seven games left of this season as Newcastle, West Ham and Chelsea all eye a European spot behind them.
Ten Hag’s side also face an FA Cup semi-final against Coventry later this month – with the chance to play Chelsea or Man City in the final at stake.
