Man United to sign six first-teamers after ‘huge’ reveal – Keith Wyness
Everton’s former chief Keith Wyness has claimed Man United could sell as many as six first-team stars in the summer transfer window – and will replace them all.
Speaking on the new edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, the 66-year-old – who served as CEO at Goodison Park between 2004 and 2009 and now runs a football consultancy advising elite clubs – suggested the wage bill at Old Trafford won’t drop dramatically, with any new signings demanding a “premium” salary to sign for the club.
Man United are expected to be active in the summer window, which opens on 14 June, following the investment from Sir Jim Ratcliffe and INEOS.
Stars like Harry Maguire, Casemiro and Aaron Wan-Bissaka have all been linked with moves away from Old Trafford.
Meanwhile, big earners Raphael Varane and Anthony Martial are among the first-teamers set to depart when their contracts expire next month.

Wyness warned United that replacements “won’t be cheap” due to the club’s stature.
He told Football Insider‘s Insider Track podcast: “I don’t think the wage bill will plummet too much.
“I think around six players will leave, that’s the number I’m thinking about – and it’s a big number.
“While the wage bill will certainly come down as a result, the replacements won’t be cheap.
“Everyone knows there is a Man United premium, and the agents know that the wages the players will receive will also bear that premium.
“It’s going to end up being roughly the same outgoings for United.
“They’ve got a huge turnover, so the wage-to-turnover ratio has always been healthy.

“I think that will carry on, they’re in no danger of any breaches.
“The owners will also have to think about the stadium, so there’s a lot of moving parts involved at the club.”
