Ornstein also revealed that neither club had planned to reach this situation, but it remains a possibility as uncertainty over Sancho’s long-term future grows.

Chelsea supporters were initially impressed with Sancho’s impact earlier in the season, particularly his ability to create chances and provide assists.

However, his form has dipped in recent months, and he has managed just two goals since arriving at Stamford Bridge. The winger has also made only 15 Premier League starts, raising further doubts about whether Chelsea will commit to signing him permanently.
