‘Man United to terminate Harry Maguire’s contract’ – Fans rage after Everton
Man United fans have slammed Harry Maguire for his performance against Everton in the Premier League.
Man United found themselves trailing 2-0 in the first half after goals from Beto and Abdoulaye Doucoure. Maguire was involved in both goals conceded, much to the dismay of the supporters.
For the first goal, he failed to clear the ball when a cross came in, allowing Beto to capitalise and score. The second goal saw Beto’s cross finding Jack Harrison in the box. Maguire, in a one-on-one situation, was unable to make a decisive tackle, and though Harrison’s initial shot was saved, Doucoure was quick to follow up and net the rebound.
He was involved in a penalty incident in stoppage where himself and Matthijs de Ligt were in a tangle with Ashley Young and Everton were awarded a spot-kick. However. referee Andy Madley has been branded a ‘”cheat” after he overturned his initial decision and the penalty was not given.
Man United fans have been critical of manager Ruben Amorim since he rewarded Maguire with a contract extension in January, and after this latest performance, their frustration has only intensified.

Football Insider has revealed that Maguire is expected to hold talks with Amorim regarding his long-term future after signing a new one-year extension.
Despite Maguire facing criticism from Man United fans earlier in the season, he has played a pivotal role for the Portuguese coach. He has made 25 appearances this season, starting nine of the last ten Premier League games.
It has been a challenging season for United, and Amorim has faced difficulties since his arrival. However, Maguire continues to be a key part of his plans, often starting in the centre of a back three.
