Man United told to complete N’Golo Kante signing as pundit issues ‘OMG’ claim
Man United must pursue a “big money” move for Chelsea star N’Golo Kante this summer.
That’s according to former West Ham hitman Frank McAvennie, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about where the Red Devils can improve next season.
On Saturday (28 May), The Guardian reported Man United want to sign Kante, 31, with his contract expiring at the end of next season.

The midfielder remains a key player for Chelsea and made 42 appearances in all competitions during the recently concluded season.
Man United’s midfield has been a weak point in recent seasons, with Scott McTominay. Paul Pogba and Fred failing to impress.
McAvennie insists Kante would walk into Erik ten Hag’s side and urged Man United to complete the deal.
“Kante? Oh my god, he would be the best midfielder there,” McAvennie told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“He walks into that team. There are no two ways about that. It would be a big-money move even though he only has a year left at Chelsea.
“That then frees up someone like McTominay to leave the club. I’ll say it again, I like Scott but he is not good enough for Man United.
“So you swap Scott for Kante, that’s one hell of an upgrade to me. It’s whether Chelsea will let him go.
“He’s on the old side so the window is closing for Chelsea to get a bit of money for him.
“Maybe if the right offer comes in they will sell. I would urge Man United to do that, it’s what they should be doing.”

Kante signed for Chelsea in the summer of 2016.
He has won the Premier League and Champions League with the club.
