Man United told to U-turn on Adrien Rabiot after Sky transfer update – pundit
Alan Hutton has claimed Adrien Rabiot will not make Man United “better”.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Tottenham and Aston Villa defender said signing Rabiot would not be “an upgrade” on the current options at Old Trafford.
According to Sky Sports (10 August), United have agreed a deal to sign the 27-year-old from Juventus.

The Red Devils are yet to agree personal terms with the midfielder though.
According to The Times (9 August), the fee for the France international will be an initial £15million that could rise to £19million with add ons.
Rabiot has a year remaining on his contract at Juventus.
As reported in the Daily Mail (8 August), Paris Saint Germain sporting director Antero Henrique criticised Rabiot’s lack of professionalism during his time with the club.
When asked if Man United should be worried about the midfielder’s attitude problems, Hutton told Football Insider: “I think there’s lots of players out there that get labelled with that.
“It can simply be down to the fact that you’re desperate to play football at the club you’re at. When you’re playing you love the manager and when you’re not you dislike him. Everybody’s the same.
“If he’s coming in to play I’m sure he’ll be happy with that but I don’t really see it as much of an upgrade from what they have, that’s the thing.

“I’ve seen them linked with Marko Arnautovic, are these Manchester United players? I’m not so sure. Are they going to make them better at this moment in time? I’m not so sure. I don’t think he’s any better than what they have.
“It’s an interesting couple of signings they’re looking at but I don’t think they’re at the level Man United want to get to.“
