Man United urged to accept Aaron Wan-Bissaka offer after journalist’s update – pundit
Alan Hutton has urged Man United to show Aaron Wan-Bissaka the exit door.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Tottenham and Aston Villa defender said Wan-Bissaka doesn’t fit at United anymore.
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano (19 December), the Red Devils are trying to find a solution in order to let the 25-year-old leave.
Wolves, West Ham and Crystal Palace are all interested in the right-back amid a potential exit.
Wan-Bissaka arrived at Old Trafford in 2019 following a £50million move from Crystal Palace.
The defender’s contract expires in 2024 and the club have the option of a 12-month extension but it looks increasingly like that he will leave in the new year.
Hutton insisted it is time for Wan-Bissaka to move on.
“I think they did spend a lot of money on him,” he told Football Insider.
“He has played quite a number of games but he just does not fit into the way of thinking at this moment in time, or under previous managers.
“He is very defensive. He is probably the best 1v1 defender that England have got out of all the right-backs, it is just the other side that he does not really give you.“
Wan-Bissaka has made just two appearances for Erik ten Hag’s side this season.

His second came on Wednesday night (21 December), in their 2-0 win over Burnley in the Carabao Cup.
The defender played 72 minutes and provided the assist for Christian Eriksen’s opening goal.
In other news, sources told this site that Man United have ‘concrete interest’ in signing Aston Villa star Emiliano Martinez.
