Man United urged to complete striker signing after Sky update – fans stunned
Man United fans have urged the club to buy a new striker during the January transfer window after a damning stat has been revealed about Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee.
Both men featured in United’s 1-0 win against Fulham on Sunday (26 January), but neither of them got on the scoresheet as Lisandro Martinez scored the only goal of the game.
Sky Sports revealed that between the pair of them they made just one touch in the penalty area throughout the game against Fulham.
Zirkzee and Hojlund also had the two lowest amount of touches in the entire game as they struggled to get involved to the level that fans wanted.
Both strikers have struggled for consistent goals this season, which has been part of United’s overall struggles.
The club are 12th in the Premier League table after 23 matches and have only managed to score 28 goals as a club.
Man United fans want to see a new striker
Hojlund and Zirkzee have five goals between them this season in the Premier League, with fans now calling for investment in this area of the pitch.
Supporters said that United need to “strengthen their players” and “desperately need a striker” during the final few days of this window.
