‘Man United handed significant Gyokeres boost after crucial Sesko to Arsenal news’
Man United have been handed a significant boost in their efforts to sign Viktor Gyokeres amid a major update regarding Arsenal’s Ben Sesko pursuit.
After the Red Devils finished just 15th in the Premier League last season, Ruben Amorim must enjoy a strong transfer window.
Matheus Cunha has already arrived at Old Trafford, while Man United are closing in on Bryan Mbeumo, who thrived at Brentford last term.
But Amorim has to also secure the addition of an out-and-out striker as the North West giants strive to enjoy a significantly better Premier League campaign.

Man United handed major Gyokeres boost as Arsenal close in on Sesko
Both Arsenal and the Red Devils have been consistently linked with Gyokeres as the Premier League rivals look to bolster their respective forward lines.
The former Coventry City man has earned a reputation as one of the best strikers in Europe by scoring 54 goals in 52 appearances for Sporting last season.
Amid their efforts to close the gap on Premier League champions Liverpool, Arsenal had been torn over Gyokeres and Sesko.
However, Football Insider has now revealed that Sesko wants to join Arsenal this summer, while landing the Leipzig man’s signature would end the Gunners’ pursuit of Gyokeres, allowing Man United to make their swoop.

Gyokeres could revolutionise Man United
Before joining the Red Devils last November, Amorim got the best out of Gyokeres during their time together at Sporting, as they won the Portuguese league title together in 2024.

Meanwhile, Man United’s lowly Premier League finish last term, coupled with their Europa League final defeat to then fellow strugglers Tottenham, shows that the Old Trafford club have room for improvement in several areas.
But Amorim’s frontline is a primary area of focus as the Red Devils look to bolster their ranks, as last season’s first-choice striker Rasmus Hojlund scored just four goals in 32 top-flight appearances.
Fellow forward Joshua Zirkzee achieved an even less inspiring return of three goals in 32 Premier League outings, but Gyokeres’ record at Sporting suggests he has what it takes to make Man United a significantly stronger outfit.
The striker alone cannot solve all of Amorim’s problems, but his clinical instincts are likely to fire the North West side up the Premier League table.
