Man United ‘will lose Amad Diallo option in 4 weeks as Amorim set for talks’
Amad Diallo must be informed that Man United intend to trigger his one-year extension by January or the option is lost, according to a report from The Telegraph.
The winger is out of contract at Old Trafford at the end of this season although the club do have the option to extend that deal by a further 12 months.
However, there are just four weeks left for the club to decide on that and tell the winger of their plans, at which point he will be eligible to discuss a free transfer elsewhere in the New Year.
New Man United Ruben Amorim is however, apparently keen to keep the Ivory Coast international at Old Trafford.
The 39-year-old is therefore expected to hold talks over a new long-term contract for Amad in the coming weeks.
New Amad Diallo contract is a sensible priority for Man United
Football Insider Opinion
Focusing on a new deal for the winger certainly seems to be a smart approach for Amorim and co. to take at Old Trafford.
The 22-year-old looks as though he is going to be a key player for the Red Devils under the new boss, starting both Premier League games since his appointment.

Amad has impressed in that time, already laying on a number of assists for Man United teammates Marcus Rashford and Joshua Zirkzee.
It therefore makes clear sense for them to keep him around when he is proving so important, especially when he could still improve even more under the new manager.
Given his talents and the size of the asset he could become, it would be a big blow for Man United to lose him for free from a financial perspective.
The fact that he is already playing a big part under a manager who is showing early signs that he might be able to turn things around, should give the club hope they can agree an extended deal for Amad.
In other news, Alejandro Garnacho has reacted to Joshua Zirkzee’s brace for Man United against Everton.
