Man United’s Marcus Rashford sends five-word message amid Barcelona transfer news
Marcus Rashford has taken to social media with a new message as speculation continues to swirl around his future at Man United.
The 27-year-old is unlikely to make a comeback at Old Trafford next season, with Ruben Amorim making his feelings very well known when allowing him to join Aston Villa on loan in the winter transfer window.
Having notched four goals and five assists in 17 games, Mick Brown told Football Insider in April that Villa were leading Barcelona for Rashford’s signature ahead of the summer transfer window.

However, with Unai Emery’s side missing out on Champions League qualification with the forward unavailable through injury, Brown told Football Insider as recently as last month that Rashford wants to join Barcelona permanently.
According to a report from SPORT in Spain (30 May), Barcelona will indeed attempt to sign the England international on loan as an alternative to Liverpool’s Luis Diaz, with the club’s sporting director, Deco, a big fan of him.
Marcus Rashford working back to full fitness
Taking to his Instagram stories (2 May), Rashford delivered a conditioning update and wrote: “Morning sessions in the sun,” with sun and palm tree emojis, as the forward attempts to work back to full fitness before pre-season begins.

Ruben Amorim has major problems to solve at Man United
Football Insider verdict
Having finished 15th in the Premier League table and missed out on the Europa League title to Tottenham, the Red Devils’ problems have been clear for everyone to see.
Amorim is already under pressure from Man United fans, despite only arriving at Old Trafford in November, having won just 40 per-cent of his games in charge.
The club’s post-season tour around Asia has not helped either, with the trip shrouded in controversy due to several reasons, not least including their embarrassing 1-0 defeat to ASEAN All Stars.

During his time at Villa Park Rashford outshone most of United’s attackers, with Brown telling Football Insider that Rasmus Hojlund is unlikely to be a Man United player next season.
Man United could also lose Bruno Fernandes to the Saudi Pro League before the 2025/26 campaign kicks off, and that would be an incredibly painful blow to the Red Devils.
Amorim is desperate for a squad shakeup over the coming weeks to fit his playing style, but with funds certainly lacking at Old Trafford, that might be a little tricky for the under-pressure manager.
