Man Utd player who created five chances was the star of the show vs Burnley, not Benjamin Sesko
Bruno Fernandes’ early return for Manchester United against Burnley on Wednesday was a sight to behold.
Manchester United drew 2-2 with Burnley, with Benjamin Sesko getting both goals on what was a terrific night for him.
The striker has taken plenty of criticism since completing his move from RB Leipzig in the summer, but both goals were expertly taken.
Darren Fletcher was in charge of the Manchester United team, after Ruben Amorim was dismissed from his position on Monday.
Oliver Glasner is among Manchester United’s ideal permanent candidates, but decision-makers are expected to wait until the end of the season.

Bruno Fernandes stuns vs Burnley
Fernandes was expected to miss around a month of action after suffering an injury in December’s loss to Aston Villa.
The midfielder has, in fact, returned earlier than anticipated and missed just three games, of which his team won one and drew two.
His return on Wednesday showed everything the Red Devils have been missing in his absence.
Undoubtedly, it was a superb night for Sesko. His first goal was taken with conviction, and the second was scored with a stunningly controlled volley into the bottom corner.
But the Slovenia international will gladly take a backseat to the masterclass that Fernandes offered. Manchester United‘s captain played just 61 minutes of football, and created five chances in that time.
Two of them were big chances, and one of them was a brilliant pass for Sesko’s first goal. Fernandes could have had a goal himself, too, but struck the post with a venomous drive.

| Minutes played | 61 |
| Accurate passes | 44/50 |
| Assists | 1 |
| Chances created (big) | 5(2) |

Once again, the 31-year-old proved that, in many ways, Manchester United’s attack lies on his shoulders. With games against Manchester City and Arsenal approaching, his return could not have come at a better time.
Bruno Fernandes continues to dominate chance creation table
Much of the recent discussion has been about Rayan Cherki, who surged to the top of the Premier League assists charts after a superb run.
Fernandes claimed his spot at the top back on Wednesday, and the Portugal international continues to dominate in most chance creation areas.

According to statmuse, Fernandes has created 54 chances in the Premier League this season – 14 more than his closest competition.
Both the Manchester United man and Cherki are tied for big chances created with 11, and it is close between them for expected assists (xA), too.
But for now, Fernandes remains the strongest chance creator in the Premier League, and Manchester United must continue to utilise him.
