Manchester City are lining up a £6milllion bid for Ante Coric after Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is believed to have made personal contact with the Croatian wonderkid, according to a report.
City are thought to be leading the way for the 19-year-old starlet even though Klopp has spoken to Coric personally ahead of a possible summer move.
The Daily Mail claims Pep Guardiola’s new team will table a bid for the youngster, who has been widely compared to current City star David Silva.
It is said Dinamo Zagreb value Coric at £10million but it remains unclear if potential suitors would be willing to match that price tag.
Coric is the only teenager in his international squad for Euro 2016 and has often been compared to playmaker David Silva.
The youngster attracted scouts from several European teams including Chelsea in 2015-16, as he scored five goals and supplied six assists during Dinamo Zagreb’s title winning season.
At just 19 years of age Coric has already scored 10 goals for Zagreb and featured for every age group of his national team from the under-15s through to the first team.
