Manchester City prepare Kevin de Bruyne bid

Manchester City are preparing a bid for Wolfsburg playmaker Kevin de Bruyne, Football Insider sources understand.
The Premier League club have identified the Belgium international as one of their summer targets following his outstanding season for the Bundesliga club.
City’s opening offer is expected to be upwards of £20million for De Bruyne, although Wolfsburg will hold out for at least £30m.
The attacking midfielder was a key player in Wolfsburg’s second-placed Bundesliga finish, scoring 10 goals and contributing 21 assists. He weighed in with a further seven assists and six goals in the cup competitions en route to helping Wolfsburg clinch the German Cup.
De Bruyne, 23, has four years remaining on his contract but has spoken of his ambition to prove himself at one of Europe’s biggest clubs following his frustrating spell at Chelsea.
He said last month: “I am very happy at Wolfsburg at the moment and I can imagine signing another contract extension with the club. [But] it is my ambition to play for a big club one day.”
De Bruyne joined from Chelsea for £18m in January 2014 after he had made just nine appearances for the London club in the 2013-14 campaign.
He said: “Chelsea was not good for me at that time. Being with this club (Wolfsburg) is like being in a different world.
“Jose Mourinho never told me why I just played a few games for Chelsea. I believe that I would have got more chances at Chelsea if the transfer fee was higher than just £7million.”
