Manchester United supporters reacted with anger and humour after the team limped to their sixth Premier League defeat of the season on Saturday.

Southampton’s new signing Charlie Austin grabbed a late winner to beat Louis Van Gaal’s side 1-0 at Old Trafford.

United were booed off by their own supporters after another uninspiring home performance in which the team mustered just one shot on target.

Many supporters took to Twitter to vent their frustration with #LVGOUT trending after the game. Here are some of the most angry reactions:

This chap has been suffering for quite a while it seems.

United were booed off the pitch at full-time as tensions inside the Theatre of Dreams escalated even further today.

This tweet reflected the mood well.

The result leaves United in fifth position, five points off Tottenham Hotspur in fourth and ten points behind new league leaders Leicester City.

They face a trip to Derby next in the FA Cup on the 29 January, with their next league game at home to Stoke three days later. This supporter has only one question left.
