‘Better than Hojlund’ – Man United fans stunned by Chido Obi-Martin masterclass
Manchester United supporters have reacted to the news that Chido Obi-Martin has scored two goals in their friendly match with Hong Kong on Friday.
The Red Devils suffered an embarrassing defeat to the ASEAN All Stars in the first game of their post-season tour on Wednesday, 28 May, but bounced back with a 3-1 victory over Hong Kong on 30 May.
Man United trailed 1-0 to the international side at half-time, but Ruben Amorim made 11 changes at the interval, which proved enough to achieve victory.
Obi-Martin notched a brace before fellow youngster Ayden Heaven made sure of the win with a 94th-minute goal.

Man United supporters think Obi-Martin is better than Hojlund
Former Arsenal academy talent Obi-Martin has made just eight competitive appearances for Amorim’s side at senior level.
But the Old Trafford faithful seemingly feel as though he has what it takes to lead the line instead of Rasmus Hojlund thanks to his goal-scoring exploits against Hong Kong.
Man United posted on X [30 May]: “A glancing header to put United 2-1 up. Well in, Chido.”
One supporter commented: “Better than Hojlund“, while another said: “I’d rather have Chido than Rasmus.”
Man United could sell Hojlund in swap deal
While Obi-Martin’s goal in a post-season friendly with Hong Kong is arguably not proof that the 17-year-old should play in the Premier League instead of Hojlund, the comments from Man United supporters on X indicate that the Old Trafford faithful are keen to see the back of the former Atalanta man.

The 22-year-old has notched a poor return of just four goals in 32 Premier League appearances this term, which is a large contributing factor as to why Amorim’s men finished just 15th in the top flight.
But while Obi-Martin could have a bright future ahead of him, Man United are keen on swapping Hojlund for Napoli hotshot Victor Osimhen.
Osimhen has spent the season on loan with Galatasaray, notching 25 goals in 29 Turkish Super Lig appearances this season.
The Nigeria international’s previous attacking exploits in Serie A, meanwhile, could show that he would be an upgrade on Hojlund’s services.
