‘Man United make Tyrell Malacia transfer decision’

Manchester United have made their decision regarding the future of Netherlands defender Tyrell Malacia.

The 25-year-old is currently on loan with Dutch outfit PSV Eindhoven, where he has won the Eredivisie title.

Malacia has made 12 appearances for Eindhoven, with eight arriving in the top flight, three in the Champions League, and one cup outing.

Peter Bosz’s men were crowned Dutch league champions by winning each of their last seven games, whereas title rivals Ajax won just one of their last five fixtures.

Man United are set to sell Malacia

Although Malacia has helped Eindhoven win their second consecutive league title, he was handed just three league starts by Bosz before the Eredivisie season concluded on 18 May.

As reported by the Manchester Evening News [22 May], Man United are set to sell the Netherlands international, while both Christian Eriksen and Victor Lindelof will be released.

Malacia was brought to Old Trafford by former boss Erik ten Hag, so perhaps it is no surprise that Ruben Amorim is keen to move him on as he looks to reshape the Red Devils squad.

Marcus Rashford set for move abroad

While Man United sit just 16th in the Premier League, the Europa League final defeat to Tottenham on Wednesday, 21 May, further epitomised Amorim’s need to enjoy a strong summer transfer window.

The Red Devils have eyed a move for Ipswich Town forward Liam Delap, who has shown his ability in the top flight, even though the Tractor Boys have suffered an immediate relegation back to the Championship.

But to acquire the likes of Delap, without Champions League status on their side, the Old Trafford giants will have to facilitate player exits to bring fresh talent to the North West.

While Malacia is set to leave Man United, the Red Devils are also keen to sell England international Marcus Rashford, who enjoyed a strong loan stint with Aston Villa before suffering a hamstring injury.

Although Rashford has performed well in the West Midlands, he is set for a move abroad as opposed to moving to Villa Park permanently.
