Man United will fume over the latest transfer news coming out of Al-Nassr

Casemiro may now be stuck at Manchester United after Al-Nassr were hit with a transfer ban by FIFA.

The Brazilian international has been a regular under Ruben Amorim this season and has made 15 appearances in the Premier League to date.

However, many of these have been disappointing, with Casemiro even being poor in the 4-1 victory over Wolves.

Therefore, when Casemiro was linked with Al-Nassr earlier in the season, it presented a chance to rid themselves of the midfielder.

However, any hope of doing this in January appears to be over.

Al-Nassr hit with transfer ban by FIFA

According to Goal on 20 December, Al-Nassr have been hit with a transfer ban.

The Saudi side are prohibited from registering players, with 19 December cited as the start date.

While an end date is not specified, it is presumed that it will last at least until the January transfer window.

As a result, any chance of the Saudi club signing Casemiro next month appears to be over.

Amorim will no doubt be fuming at this news, as he is now stuck with an ageing and expensive 33-year-old midfielder, when he could have likely netted a decent sum from his sale.

How bad has Casemiro been this season for Manchester United?

According to Fotmob on 20 December, there are highlights to Casemiro’s game this season, but also plenty of concerning aspects.

While the midfielder is producing a high 0.36 goals per game, defensively and passing-wise, there are plenty of qualities that fall far below standard.

The Brazilian international is only completing 81.3 per cent of his passes, while he is also being dribbled past 1.44 times per game.

Therefore, questions will be asked about how long the decorated midfielder can survive at the top level in the Premier League.

Hopefully, a resolution will be found soon, or it could cost Manchester United multiple points.
