Manor Solomon sends emotional Leeds farewell after confirmed news
Leeds United’s Manor Solomon has sent an emotional goodbye on social media after a confirmed departure.
The winger was a vital part of the Elland Road outfit’s promotion to the Premier League, scoring 10 goals and picking up 13 assists.
Solomon scored a last-minute winner for Leeds on the final day of the season against Plymouth, to ensure they went up as champions.
Daniel Farke’s side, along with Burnley, managed to accumulate 100 points throughout the course of the campaign.
They will be joined in the top flight by either Sunderland or Sheffield United, who face off at Wembley in the play-off final.

Solomon sends goodbye
Football Insider exclusively revealed that it will be difficult for Leeds to sign Solomon on a permanent basis.
The winger spent the season with the Yorkshire-based side, on loan from Tottenham, after struggling for game time in North London.
However, the forward was bidding a fond farewell to one of his Leeds team mates, as it was confirmed that Joshua Guilavogui will be leaving the club.
The Whites posted a message, appreciating the 34-year-old’s efforts, with the caption: “Thank you, @JoshuaGuilavogui.”
Solomon showed his appreciation for the veteran midfielder, by liking the post.
Leeds to bolster squad
Despite their superb Championship season, Leeds will have to massively improve their squad in order to compete in the Premier League.
Farke’s side managed to score an incredible 95 goals, over 20 more than the next highest-scoring team, but the top flight is a different beast.
Team | Goals |
Leeds | 95 |
Norwich | 71 |
Burnley | 69 |
Coventry | 64 |
Football Insider exclusively revealed that Leeds plan to back Farke, and spend more than £100m this summer in a bid to survive next season.
That is probably the sort of investment needed to bridge the gap between the top two divisions in the country, and it will still need to be used well to ensure the Elland Road outfit are not cut adrift.
This season, Ipswich, Leicester and Southampton all struggled badly, and the relegation battle was basically over before it began.
If Leeds are to perform any better, then their summer recruitment is absolutely vital.
