Marc Cucurella and Nicolas Jackson react after Chelsea exit development
Chelsea players Marc Cucurella and Nicolas Jackson both react to a former teammate’s post on Instagram following his January exit
Joao Felix left Chelsea to join AC Milan during the January transfer window on a loan deal until the end of the season.
Felix had been heavily linked with a move to Aston Villa but instead he joined the Italian giants, while Villa proceeded with a deal for Marcus Rashford.
After scoring on his debut for Milan the Portuguese, he had posted on Instagram, saying: “Thank you for the warm welcome, San Siro.”
Cucurella and Jackson both showed their appreciation by liking the post, while Pedro Neto also got involved, commenting with fire and magic wand emojis.
Joao Felix needed a fresh start away from Chelsea
Reports suggested that Felix was “unhappy” at Chelsea, which ultimately led to his January exit.
He only joined the Blues in the summer from Atletico Madrid, in a deal that saw Conor Gallagher move in the opposite direction.

He has shown flashes of quality this season, scoring seven goals and providing two assists in 20 appearances. However, he struggled to secure consistent starts in the Premier League due to Chelsea’s bloated attacking options, making just three league starts.
Football Insider Verdict
Felix’s lack of game time mirrors the situation of his Portuguese teammate Renato Veiga, but he has already seen the positives after scoring on his debut for Milan.
Despite their departures, Chelsea teammates continue to show their support for their former teammates. Even though both players faced challenges with limited playing time at the club, their comments are bound to be encouraging.
Renato Veiga also left Enzo Maresca’s Chelsea on loan
Cucurella recently commented on Veiga’s post, despite the left-back’s departure for similar reasons as Felix. The full-back has remained active on social media, continuing to show support for players even after they leave the club.
Veiga was unhappy with the lack of game time at Chelsea, and willl face his former teammate whenever Juventus plays AC Milan.
Despite the circumstances surrounding their exits, both players are still receiving support from their former teammates. Should the players return from their loan spells at the end of the season, they’ll have the opportunity to reunite and play alongside one another once more.
