Marc Cucurella mocks Renato Veiga Juventus message after Chelsea exit
Marc Cucurella sent a trolling message to Chelsea loanee Renato Veiga, who joined Juventus earlier in the January transfer window.
Veiga only arrived at Stamford Bridge last summer after signing from Swiss side Basel for £12 million [BBC Sport]. However, the left-back opted to leave due to limited playing time and secured a loan move to the Italian giants.
Despite his departure, Cucurella has stayed in touch with the Portuguese defender and left a humorous comment on his latest Instagram post. Veiga had captioned his post: “Good game by the whole team. Together!”
Cucurella jokingly replied, “Do you speak Italian yet? You are a crackhead.”

Cucurella has been a key figure under Enzo Maresca this season, making 20 Premier League starts and 25 appearances overall. He has contributed three goals and three assists so far.
His consistent performances have secured his place in the squad, leading to uncertainty for other left-back options. With Veiga leaving for Juventus, Crystal Palace also secured Ben Chilwell on loan, despite their fans expressing disapproval of the move. Chilwell fell out of favour under Maresca, making just one appearance for the team this season.
Meanwhile, Veiga was given minutes in the Conference League, making six appearances, scoring two goals, and providing one assist. Cucurella, however, has solidified his role since his £60 million move from Brighton in 2022 [BBC Sport], and this has led to other options having to leave.
