‘Marc Guehi is a massive signing for Liverpool’ – fans stunned by ‘huge’ update today

Liverpool fans have urged the club to move quickly for Marc Guehi after the latest update surrounding their transfer plans.

Liverpool have already had a busy summer transfer window in terms of both incomings and outgoings.

Trent Alexander-Arnold has already joined Real Madrid, but the Reds responded swiftly by bringing in Bayer Leverkusen’s Jeremie Frimpong as a replacement.

However, Liverpool missed out on signing Dean Huijsen after he chose to also sign for Los Blancos, despite their long-standing interest.

With the club still in the market for a central defender and Jarell Quansah’s future looking increasingly uncertain, attention has now turned to Crystal Palace captain Guehi.

Liverpool to make Marc Guehi offer after Jarell Quansah agrees Leverkusen terms

Football Insider revealed last month that Liverpool are open to offers for Quansah this summer and in recent days, that situation has rapidly developed.

Quansah has already agreed personal terms with Bayer Leverkusen and is lined up for a medical ahead of a club-record £35million transfer.

Following that update, the Reds appear to have moved swiftly once again in the transfer market.Liverpool are now expected to submit a “huge offer” for Crystal Palace captain Guehi.

Football Insider revealed that Guehi has already told friends he wants to join Liverpool, despite the interest from Newcastle and Tottenham.

It’s believed he has been holding out to join a Premier League and Champions League challenger, and that a move to the Reds is of particular interest to him.

The England international has just one year remaining on his current deal and has long been expected to leave Selhurst Park this summer given the uncertainty surrounding his contract.

Quansah has played a vital role for Liverpool over the past season, filling in both at centre-back and right-back when required. However, the 22-year-old now appears keen to secure regular first-team football, prompting his likely exit.

Meanwhile, several top Premier League clubs including Newcastle and Arsenal have expressed interest in Guehi but it seems as if Liverpool are leading the race, and fans are growing increasingly excited at the prospect of the move.

One supporter said: “Would be a massive signing for us!” while another added: “Probably the best option to replace Quansah.”
