Marc Guehi sends one-word message to England stars amid Liverpool transfer news
Crystal Palace star Marc Guehi has sent a one-word message of praise for the England Under-21s squad amid links with a move to Liverpool.
Lee Carsley’s side lifted the UEFA U21 Euros after a 3-2 win against Germany, in which Liverpool star Harvey Elliott opened the scoring after just five minutes.
Omari Hutchinson doubled England’s lead, before second-half goals from Nelson Weiper and Paul Nebel saw Germany claw back and send the game to extra time.
However, it was England who came out on top as Jonathan Rowe’s header shortly after the break meant the Young Lions retained their status as European champions.
Guehi has now become the latest senior England star to heap praise on the team, having previously captained his country at Under-21 level.

The entire Under-21 squad has received plenty of praise since lifting the trophy, with Guehi joining the likes of Harry Kane and Jack Grealish in sending congratulations.
As reported by Football Insider Grealish heaped praise on Carsley, having been part of his squad during his interim spell in charge of the senior team.
Grealish praised Carsley highly following the end of his interim spell, as shared by Football Insider in November, thanking him for “bringing back the enjoyment in an England shirt”.
Guehi’s message was more broad, taking to Instagram where he shared a simple: “Congratulations” alongside the official England account’s “Champions” post.

Football Insider exclusively revealed on 20 June that Guehi wants to join Liverpool ahead of the likes of Newcastle and Tottenham if he is to leave Palace.
A place in the starting XI is paramount in his thinking ahead of next summer’s World Cup, and there is a growing feeling he could replace Ibrahima Konate in the side.
