Marco Rose to Rangers: Major update from Ibrox after Leipzig sack
Rangers will struggle to lure highly-rated German boss Marco Rose to the club this summer, sources have told Football Insider.
The 48-year-old was sacked by RB Leipzig on Sunday (30 March) after two and a half years with the Bundesliga outfit.
Rangers are planning to be in the market for top managers if they become available this summer given the size and stature of the club- and ambitions of prospective new owners 49ers Enterprises.
However, it is believed the Gers will find it hard to persuade Rose to make the move to Ibrox.
Rangers unlikely to lure Rose
He won the German Cup in the 2022-23 campaign and the Super Cup in the following campaign.
Football Insider revealed on Monday (31 March) that Rangers are not expected to make any announcement on a manager appointment until after the final day of the 2024-25 campaign.

The process is ongoing and linked to the in-progress takeover at Rangers by the consortium fronted by 49ers.
Barry Ferguson has strengthened his chances of landing the full-time gig after recent wins over Fenerbahce and Celtic – and would be interested in the role.
A manager appointment is not imminent and Ferguson is set to see out the remainder of this season in charge of his boyhood club.
Rangers new boss could get £25m budget
Football Insider has previously revealed (21 March) that Rangers could be backed with a £20-25million budget in the summer transfer window.
The Gers have fallen behind rivals Celtic in recent seasons – with Brendan Rodgers’ side on course for a domestic treble this term.
Ferguson’s side are 13 points behind at the top of the Scottish Premiership – which will draw to a close on 18 May.
