Marcos Senesi reacts excitedly to Antoine Semenyo’s Bournemouth message

Antoine Semenyo and his Bournemouth teammates remain in a jubilant mood after their 2-1 win over Brighton in the Premier League on Saturday.

Amid their strong start to the top-flight campaign, Bournemouth recently handed David Brooks a contract extension.

The Cherries currently sit third in the Premier League table, having earned three wins from their opening four games.

In their last game before the international break, Bournemouth defeated Tottenham 1-0, while Andoni Iraola’s men continued their positive form against Brighton, thanks to goals from Alex Scott and Semenyo.

The summer transfer window saw Bournemouth sign winger Ben Doak from Liverpool.

However, the Scotland international was an unused substitute when the Vitality Stadium outfit beat Brighton 2-1 on 13 September.

Meanwhile, after scoring from the penalty spot against Brighton, Semenyo wrote on Instagram on Sunday, 14 September: “+3!” to celebrate the Cherries’ latest win.

Marcos Senesi responded to the 25-year-old’s message by commenting with a star eye emoji and a fire emoji.

Andoni Iraola has started the season remarkably well after transfer woes

Bournemouth endured a largely difficult summer transfer window with former star man Dean Huijsen joining Real Madrid, whereas fellow defenders Milos Kerkez and Illia Zabarnyi left the South Coast in favour of Liverpool and PSG, respectively.

Despite losing such talented players, though, Iraola has ensured that the Cherries have bounced back from their opening day defeat at Liverpool with three successive Premier League wins.

Crucially, Bournemouth retained Semenyo during the summer transfer window and the forward has proven his worth by notching three goals and two assists already this term.

The Vitality Stadium side’s recent wins over Tottenham and Brighton suggest that they are capable of enjoying more positive results when they face Newcastle United and Leeds United in their upcoming Premier League clashes.

Iraola should be proud of the fact that he has helped summer signings like Adrien Truffert and Veljko Milosavljevic adjust to the English top-flight quickly, softening the blow of losing Kerkez and Huijsen.
