‘Marcus Rashford to Spurs is a great signing’ – reaction to confirmed news

Tottenham fans have urged Daniel Levy to consider signing Marcus Rashford on loan after the club have been dealt another injury blow.

During his pre-match press conference Ange Postecoglou confirmed Timo Werner is going to be unavailable against Arsenal due to an injury he suffered against Tamworth on Sunday (12 January).

He said, “The only one who picked up an injury is Timo. He picked up a hamstring injury and we are waiting on the results of that scan.”

This has led to fans hoping to see the club be active in the transfer window, and Rashford is reportedly a target for the club.

The Independent revealed that Spurs are interested in signing the United winger on a loan deal until the end of the season after he has been outcast at Old Trafford.

The versatile forward hasn’t played for United since 7 December and has only been in the match-day squad once since then, leading to speculation about his future.

Tottenham want Marcus Rashford to replace Timo Werner

The England international has scored seven goals and provided three assists this season in 24 appearances, and his track record has led to plenty of interest in his services.

Spurs will face competition in attempting to sign the 27-year-old as Football Insider revealed that West Ham are also interested in him.
