Aston Villa in race to sign Matheus Fernandes amid Tielemans uncertainty
With speculation continuing around Tielemans’ future, Villa appear to be preparing for midfield reinforcements ahead of the summer window.
Football Insider revealed that Aston Villa have joined the race to sign Southampton’s Matheus Fernandes, who has also attracted interest from West Ham and newly-promoted Leeds United.
The 20-year-old is reportedly valued at around £25 million and, despite the club’s disappointing return to the Premier League, Fernandes has emerged as a rare bright spot for Southampton in their campaign.
