Marcus Rashford: Big update on Man United star tonight – sources

New Man United minority owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe and his INEOS outfit are keen to keep Marcus Rashford at the club amid links with Paris Saint-Gerrmain, sources have told Football Insider.

Widespread speculation linking the 26-year-old to the French champions has cropped up again with Kylian Mbappe set to exit the club in the off-season.

Rashford has been linked with PSG for several years but signed a new contract at Old Trafford last year (2023).

Rashford to join PSG after Mbappe transfer news?

It is believed INEOS are keen to keep him at United as their new regime gets into full swing.

A well-placed source has told Football Insider that last season’s heroics from Rashford are fresh in the memories of club chiefs – who “know what he can do” at his best.

The club’s stance comes despite discontent within the club about his off-field problems in the 2023-24 campaign.

He was reportedly fined two week’s wages in January after missing training following a nightclub visit.

Rashford has also faced significant fan criticism of his on-field performances – which have dropped off since last season.

The England international has hit just five goals and six assists in 30 appearances across all competitions this term.

He notched 30 goals and 11 assists in 56 games last season to earn a bumper new deal running until June 2028 – which reportedly nets him £325,000-a-week.
