Marcus Rashford has ‘real opportunity’ to secure permanent Barcelona transfer as chance revealed
Marcus Rashford is striving to continue to flourish for Barcelona as he endeavours to land a permanent move away from Man United.
Man United are regretting loaning Rashford to Barcelona after his sensational brace against Newcastle United in the Champions League [18 September].
Sources told Football Insider that Rashford should complete a permanent move to Barcelona at the end of the season if he maintains that level of form.
However, Rashford was benched by Hansi Flick against Getafe [21 September] after he reportedly arrived to training late, hinting that his long-term future in not 100 per cent confirmed.

Barcelona biding their time with Marcus Rashford
As I revealed on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, the Blaugrana are not rushing into any drastic decision to sign the United loanee before the end of the current campaign.
The Englishman has notched two goals and two assists in seven appearances in all competitions but his inconsistency means Barcelona will be calculated in how they proceed with turning his temporary status permanent.
Speaking on the Inside Track podcast, I explained: “It’s been a mixed start probably, it’s fair to say for Marcus Rashford, had a great impact against Newcastle in the Champions League too.
“Superb goals in that game, but look, we know Marcus Rashford is on a season-long loan at Barcelona from Manchester United. I don’t think Barcelona are rushing into anything just yet about possibly making that deal permanent.

“If Marcus Rashford performs well, scores goals, helps Barcelona to be successful on the pitch, there’s a real opportunity that that move will become permanent.
“There is a buy option in there for Barcelona for around just over £26million, which on the face of it looks a bargain fee for a player like Rashford.
“In that respect, again, Barcelona will wait and see how this season long loan pans out and will continue to monitor Rashford’s impact across the full season, both on and off the pitch.”
Ruben Amorim future at Man United could open Rashford U-turn
Oliver Glasner is one of the names on Man United’s shortlist to replace Ruben Amorim, sources have told Football Insider.
The Portuguese’s job is hanging by a thread with results needing to drastically improve if he wants to remain the Red Devils boss.

Amorim and Rashford both had a falling out at the start of his tenure which prompted the winger to head to Aston Villa on a short-term loan for the second half of the 2024-25 campaign.
If the former Sporting CP manager was to leave Old Trafford, this could open up a potential comeback for the Englishman.
Barcelona are in a financially difficult position and may not be able to afford to keep the number 14 which may see the England international play again for his boyhood club.
