Marcus Rashford: Pundit names three Aston Villa stars better than him
Marcus Rashford has been encouraged not to consider a move to Aston Villa due to the number of players who would be ahead of him in the pecking order.
Speaking on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, former Tottenham goalkeeper Paul Robinson claimed he “can’t see where he would fit” in Unai Emery’s side.
Ruben Amorim is expected to assess the winger’s level before making a final decision but will demand a “significant improvement” in order for him to remain at the club moving forward.
The England international has scored four goals and provided three assists in 17 appearances across all competitions this season for United and is under contract at Old Trafford until June 2028.
Aston Villa might not be the right move for Marcus Rashford’s future
“Maybe a new place is the best answer for Marcus Rashford, but it’s not Aston Villa,” Robinson told Football Insider.
“There was obviously a fractured relationship between Ten Hag and Marcus Rashford, maybe the new manager is just the spark that Marcus Rashford needs to regain his best form.
“As far as Aston Villa go, I don’t see it.
“They’ve got Jhon Duran who can play on that side, they’ve got Morgan Rodgers, they’ve got [Leon] Bailey who plays on that side as well.

“They’ve got a lot of attacking quality.
“I don’t think he’s a player that Aston Villa need, I can’t see where he would fit into that system.”
