Alejandro Garnacho kept an upbeat message after helping Manchester United reach the Europa League final, despite growing speculation around his future at the club.

The Argentine winger started in Man United’s second-leg victory over Athletic Club, a result that secured their place in the final.

However, Garnacho struggled to make an impact for Man United during the game and was substituted after 63 minutes for Amad, who impressed off the bench with a lively performance and an assist for Rasmus Hojlund’s goal.

It’s been a frustrating season for the 20-year-old, whose form has been inconsistent and whose long-term role under Ruben Amorim remains uncertain.

Football Insider revealed Man United are open to selling the Garnacho this summer, with Chelsea among the clubs monitoring the situation closely.

Despite the rumours, he posted a message on Instagram that reflected his positive mindset, focusing on the final ahead rather than the speculation surrounding his future.

Plenty of teammates responded to the post, including Mason Mount, Amad and Marcus Rashford, currently on loan at Aston Villa, all showing support by liking it.

Despite the camaraderie within the squad, some Man United fans have called for Garnacho to be sold due to his inconsistent performances this season. In the Europa League, the winger has found the net just once, while in the Premier League, he has managed six goals.

With the club continuing to navigate financial constraints, a sale of Garnacho would represent pure profit on the balance sheet, given he was promoted from the youth ranks.

Football Insider revealed back in February that Garnacho is questioning his future at Man United after missing out on a January exit.
