Marcus Rashford sends cryptic message to Man United fans after development
Man United star Marcus Rashford has taken to social media to let fans know he’s working hard after being criticised for attending a basketball game.
The 27-year-old caught flack from fans on Instagram after he posted images of himself attending a basketball game at Maddison Square Garden in New York rather than staying at Carrington.
Rashford has some time off after missing out on a place in Lee Carsley’s last England squad as interim manager for their UEFA Nations League games against Greece and the Republic of Ireland.
It’s been quite some time since the left winger represented his country, last making a 15-minute cameo appearance in their 1-0 friendly defeat to Brazil in March.
Marcus Rashford determined to turn things around at Man United
It’s been a frustrating start to the season for Rashford, scoring four goals and providing three assists in 18 games across all competitions for his boyhood club.
He was notably substituted by former manager Erik ten Hag at halftime during United’s 3-3 Europa League draw with Porto earlier this season, despite it arguably being his best performance of the year.
Still, he seems determined to put all of that behind him as a new era at Old Trafford begins under Ruben Amorim, taking to Instagram to let fans know he’s taking the opportunity seriously.

Amorim is due to take charge in his first game as the new Man United manager once the international break is over with a trip to Ipswich.
Both Rashford and his new manager have a lot of work to do with Man United sitting in 13th after 11 games if they’re to salvage their season.
