Marcus Rashford sends message to Man United fans after Ruben Amorim confession

Man United ace Marcus Rashford has sent a message to the fans after Ruben Amorim questioned decision-making from the forward’s camp after ‘new challenge’ interview.

The 27-year-old was excluded from the Man United squad entirely for their past three games, including their last-gasp 2-1 Premier League win over local rivals Man City.

Rashford said that he’s looking for a “new challenge” admitting that being left out of the squad for the Manchester Derby hurt in an interview with journalist Henry Winter.

Amorim has since questioned the decision-making regarding Rashford’s comments, telling Sky Sports: “It is a hard situation. I understand that these players have a lot of people around them, making choices that are not the first idea from the player.

“I am always here to help Marcus as another player. I have to do what I have to do. They chose to do the interview as it is not just Marcus. I understand that.

“As a coach I focus on performance and the way you train. The rest, it is better for me and the club to deal with that when the time comes.

The left winger has struggled for consistency so far this season, starting 19 of his 24 appearances across all competitions, scoring seven goals, and providing three assists in 1500 minutes on the field.

Amorim hasn’t enjoyed much of a ‘new manager bounce’ since joining United, suffering a humiliating 3-0 home defeat to Bournemouth in their last Premier League fixture.

United sit down in 13th, closer to the relegation zone than the top spot with six wins, four draws, seven defeats, and just 22 points from their 17 games.

Rashford took to Instagram after his manager’s comments to wish fans a Merry Christmas and share an image of his family, saying: “Family time – Happy Christmas everyone.”

Man United travel to Vitor Pereira’s Wolves on Boxing Day (December 26) with the hosts buoyed by an impressive 3-0 win over fellow strugglers Leicester City in their last fixture.

Amorim’s side will then host Eddie Howe’s in-form Newcastle side on December 30th to round off a dismal 2025.
