Marcus Rashford to AC Milan: ‘I can see it happening – get it done’
Everton’s former chief Keith Wyness has revealed Man United and AC Milan have a “good relationship” as they discuss a loan move for Marcus Rashford.
Speaking on the new edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, the 66-year-old – who served as CEO at Goodison Park between 2004 and 2009 and now runs a football consultancy advising elite clubs – suggested the two clubs could strike a deal despite the forward’s astronomical Old Trafford wages.
Football Insider revealed on Tuesday (7 January) that Milan will not be able to pay Rashford’s full £300,000-a-week wage if they complete a loan deal for the Man United outcast.
It has been widely reported that the Italian giants are keen to take him on loan for the remainder of the 2024-25 campaign.
Ex-Red Devils striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic is sporting director at Milan, who last dealt with United when Diogo Dalot went on loan to San Siro in the 2020-21 season.
Rashford has notched seven goals and three assists in 24 appearances this season – but has not played for United since early December.
Man United have ‘good relationship’ with AC Milan, says Wyness
Wyness told Football Insider‘s Insider Track podcast: “AC Milan have come to the fore.
“I think he’d go there, but I don’t know how they’d work through his wages – which will be very high for a club like them.
“But there may be a way to get it resolved.
“AC Milan is a club I think he could do well for if his head was right.

“It’s got legs, and I could see it happening. I know there is a good relationship between Milan and United.
“Hopefully they can get it done.”
