
Marcus Tavernier sends Bournemouth message after Kepa howler, Milos Kerkez responds
Bournemouth dropped two points against Tottenham on Sunday (9 March), despite initially leading the game by two goals.
Marcus Tavernier got on the end of a sensational Milos Kerkez cross to give the Cherries the lead as Evanilson then doubled their lead in the 65th minute of the game.
Bournemouth appeared to be cruising to a routine victory until a stunning effort from Pape Matar Sarr caught Kepa Arrizabalaga out from distance and brought Spurs back into the game.
The on-loan Chelsea goalkeeper was then at the heart of the drama again in the 84th minute when he fouled Son Heung-min inside the box which resulted in a penalty and a late equaliser.
Bournemouth ended up dropping two points in this particular fixture because of the late drama which has impacted their hunt for European football.
The Cherries currently sit eighth in the Premier League table and they are now five points adrift of Chelsea in fourth place.
