Mark Lawrenson predicts Tottenham v Burnley, states duo must chip in
By Dominic Toner
Mark Lawrenson believes that Tottenham duo Dele All and Christian Eriksen must continue to chip in with goals ahead of their match against Burnley.
Spurs resume after the international break with a trip to Burnley on Saturday, who have been particularly strong at Turf Moor this season.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side did beat the Clarets 2-1 in the previous meeting this season and are currently in great form.
The north London club have won their last four consecutive matches and are looking to consolidate their position inside the top four of the Premier League.
BBC pundit Lawrenson feels that Spurs will only manage to record a 1-1 draw against Burnley and has stressed the importance on their attacking duo during the absence of the injured.

“Christian Eriksen and Dele Alli both scored for Tottenham in their last game against Southampton and, with Harry Kane injured, it is important they both continue to chip in with goals,” Lawrenson wrote for BBC Sport. “But I think Spurs will miss Kane more at Turf Moor, and Burnley will give them a real test, as they have done to all the top teams.”
Spurs’ top scorer Kane remains sidelined through injury, but they have managed to find some good form without him.
England international Alli has been prolific in front of goal this season, scoring 17 goals in 39 appearances across all competitions.
The attacking midfielder has emerged as a major goal threat this campaign and will be looking to fill the Kane void against Burnley.
Meanwhile, playmaker Eriksen has chipped in with 10 goals in his 38 appearances, while also supplying 16 assists.
