Marti Cifuentes sack latest: Leicester City manager ‘in trouble’
Leicester City have endured a disappointing start to the season so far despite holding lofty ambitions of an immediate return to the Premier League.
Marti Cifuentes‘ side lost 2-0 to Blackburn last time out, extending their dismal run of form which has seen them win just twice in their last 10 games.
The Foxes have now dropped down to 14th in the table and have won just four of their opening 13 games with the season now well underway.
Supporters had initial concerns about the boss, who left QPR to join Leicester in the summer, and there has been little evidence to persuade them otherwise.
As a result, large sections of fans at the King Power Stadium have begun calling for his head, with their clash against Middlesbrough potentially proving key to his future.

Marti Cifuentes facing Leicester City sack threat
Leicester City are dealing with financial issues away from the pitch, but performances have done little to ease concerns about their position in the long-term.
If results continue in their current vein, it is growing increasingly likely that the boss will be sacked and the board will be forced to make a major decision.
That is according to former Man United and Blackburn chief scout Mick Brown, who remains very well-connected within the game, as he exclusively told Football Insider that Leicester must get their next call right after recent “calamitous” mistakes by the board.
“There’s no doubt the manager is in trouble,” he told Football Insider.
“If you’re not winning games, especially in a side where you would’ve expected them to be challenging high up the table, questions are going to be asked.
“But I’m not convinced the board there have a clear strategy with the path they’re on, where they want to go and how they’re going to get there.
“They’ve made some calamitous decisions over the last few years which ended up with them getting relegated and now they’re in a very difficult position.

“So if they sack the manager now, they have to know what’s coming next, and they have to get it right because if they don’t it could have major repercussions.
“But form his point of view, he has to start picking up results quickly, because if their form continues like this there’s no way he can stay on.”
With a crucial clash against Middlesbrough coming up on 4 November, Cifuentes knows he must start picking up wins to ease pressure on his position.
Leicester tipped to follow in Southampton’s footsteps
Leicester are not the only Championship side experiencing managerial concerns at the moment, as Southampton decided to part company with Will Still.
Their fellow relegated outfit are currently 21st in the league table, albeit just five points behind the Foxes, and fans demanded a change was made.
As a result, they are now searching for a new boss, and Leicester could find themselves dragged into trouble if their direct rivals begin to improve.

Meanwhile, Norwich City are concerned about Liam Manning and have been widely tipped to be the next Championship outfit to make a major change.
Football Insider revealed on 19 October that Manning is not concerned about his job and believes he can turn things around, but he may not be given the chance.
