Martin Allen mocks footage of furious Arsenal fan after collapse vs Wolves: ‘I’m sick’

Martin Allen has joined Premier League fans in poking fun at Arsenal fans after Wednesday’s capitulation.

The Gunners were two goals to the good against Wolves, but collapsed in the second half with Riccardo Calafiori’s stoppage-time own goal completing the comeback.

Bukayo Saka got the Premier League leaders off to the perfect start, with Piero Hincapie doubling the advantage after half-time.

Just minutes later, however, Hugo Bueno’s superbly curled striker sailed over David Raya and into the net, sparking the comeback.

Substitute Tom Edozie capped off a stunning turnaround that could well have massive ramifications in the Premier League title race, when his shot deflected in off Calafiori.

Martin Allen joins mocking of Arsenal fans

Unfortunately for many Arsenal fans, Wednesday’s game told the same story that has been told repeatedly over the last few years.

Despite having a two-goal lead against who have won just one game in the Premier League this season, the Gunners look panicked and nervous.

Mikel Arteta’s team have been lauded for their defensive solidity over the last few seasons, but they appeared to lose all idea of how a game should be closed out.

It was not anything new for the Arsenal fans, however, who have seen their team increasingly struggle to cope with the pressure of leading the league over the last two months.

Some were captured in the stands at Molineux after the game by the cameras, sharing looks of sadness, shock, disappointment and anger.

Social media user Scott Roberts posted the video with an ironic caption that said: “If you enjoy these scenes you sick!!!!”

To which, former Leicester City and Notts County manager Allen replied: “I’m sick”.

Arsenal in crisis mode

With the North London derby approaching on Sunday, there is no time for Arsenal to sit and lick their wounds.

The Gunners need a big response, and they need it before the Premier League slips through their fingers.

Arsenal fans are looking for reasons to stay positive about this season. They have seen this story far too many times before.

A win in the North London derby can provide that hope, but it must be backed up.
