Martin Keown reveals Arsenal concern with team selection v Bayern Munich
By Dominic Toner
Martin Keown has revealed he is concerned with Arsenal’s starting midfield against Bayern Munich, plus he expects defender left-back Kieran Gibbs could be in for a difficult match against Arjen Robben.
The Gunners face Bayern in the Champions League last 16 on Wednesday night and they will be hoping to get a positive result in the first leg at the Allianz Stadium.
Arsene Wenger has made two changes to his side for the European clash, with David Ospina and Granit Xhaka replacing Petr Cech and Theo Walcott.
The north London club have been knocked out of the last 16 in the past six seasons and will be desperate to avoid another defeat at the hands of Bayern.
Ex-Arsenal defender Keown has revealed his concern with the midfield pairing of Xhaka and Francis Coqeulin, while expects left-back Gibbs to struggle.

“It’s an inexperienced midfield and Gibbs coming in at full-back is significant as he will be up against Robben, whose pace is still devastating,” Keown told BT Sport.
Arsenal will be hoping they can avoid being overrun in the midfield, but will come up against Xabi Alonso, Arturo Vidal and Thiago Alcantara.
Xhaka and Coquelin are the pair tasked with trying to stop them, but both are known for being risky in the challenges.
Xhaka has only just returned from a four-game suspension, while Coquelin is a fiery character that will not be afraid to put his foot in.
Meanwhile, Gibbs has got the nod ahead of Nacho Monreal at left-back and will be wary of winger Robben.
Wenger has tried to counter Robben’s pace by using Gibbs, but even he could struggle against the Bayern ace.
