‘Martinelli is leaving Arsenal’ after Thierry Henry ‘evisceration’ – fans amazed

Arsenal supporters have called for the club to replace Gabriel Martinelli to enhance their attacking options in a bid to bolster their Premier League title aspirations.

The 23-year-old’s performance was called into question after the Gunners failed to break the deadlock against Everton last Saturday (14 December) as they battled out to a goalless draw.

The result saw Mikel Arteta’s side fail to capitalise on Liverpool’s draw against Fulham, leaving them six points behind the Reds.

Martinelli has made 22 appearances throughout this season in all competitions but has only scored four goals and provided two assists.

During an appearance on Sky Sports’ Monday Night Football, Arsenal legend Thierry Henry analysed a clip of Martinelli against Man United where he failed to take on his marker.

He said, “You’re not playing your one vs one.

“We worked to put you in a one vs one, why are you bringing the ball back and play here [middle of the pitch].”

Arsenal fans believe they need more quality than Gabriel Martinelli

Arsenal fans believe that Henry’s analysis “destroyed” Martinelli and those who support him as fans have called for the club to replace him.
